The LLHM was my first Half Marathon so I was a bit nervous and did not know what to expect. Within 30 seconds of the start, a complete stranger shouted: “You got this Tim”… I was immediately hit by a huge wave of emotion that took me by surprise and gave me a huge boost. The majority of people running had a story and a reason why. The supporters seemed to know that and added so much to the adventure. There was barely a moment for the whole race that I did not feel cheered on by the crowd. To be honest I did not take in much of the “landmarks” as the support of the crowd and the other runners were inspiration enough. I get the feeling no other race will compare!
