During the Coronavirus lockdown, we all know that times are hard for charities but what does this really mean for Pseudomyxoma Survivor?

During March to June last year, our amazing fundraisers and their friends and families donated £40k to the charity. This year it has been £4k.

  • Donations from March 2019 to June 2019 – £40k
  • Donations from March 2020 to June 2020 – £4k

The spring and summer are always our best fundraising months as our fundraisers run marathons, organise big charity walks, auctions, summer dances, coffee mornings and cake sales. This year no social gatherings have been allowed to happen and consequently, very few funds have been raised.

We would love it if you would be willing to contribute to our fundraising bucket. Please do give generously, as if you were sponsoring a colleague, buying a tasty cake or a ticket to the dance. The funds support patients suffering from pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), appendix cancers and peritoneal surface malignancies, their carers and families. For example, we make grants to families, we provide a family flat near the Christie Hospital and we fund programmes of research into PMP. We cannot do this without your help and support.

If you’re in the UK, you can donate a regular amount each month by text:

  • To donate £5 a month text PMPSMONTH 5
  • To donate £10 a month text PMPSMONTH 10
  • To donate £20 a month text PMPSMONTH 20

If you would like to make a one-off donation, you can do so here.

Thank you
